All of our marquees are suitable for the British climate! However care must be taken
to protect your shelter from weather damage. The higher grade marquee you purchase the more
durable and rigid you can expect the structure to be.
Each marquee comes with a set of guys and standard pegs. There should be added
to immediately if you wish to make your shelter useable in all 4 seasons.
We recommend you use tie down straps like these. We can supply
these or you can usually buy them at any camping/caravan/diy/carparts shop. All of our marquee
frames will endure the forces required to tighten the ratchets down.
Its also advisable to use weights.
We would suggest that you get a box of weights, fixings, straps etc
together to carry with you if you intend to use it over the winter and/or at varying locations -
better safe than sorry!
Additional info..
Consult the weather forecast before evaluating the Speedy-Marquee Instant Shelter
recommendations
The shelter is manufactured and designed for internal and outdoor use.
The shelter should always be anchored down.
If the shelter is to be erected on soft ground the straps and pegs supplied must be used at all
times.
If you are using the shelter on a hard standing surface the shelter should be weighted down –for
this purpose we recommend our specially designed weights which fit around the bottom of the
legs.
It is the responsibility of the person erecting the shelter to assess the weather conditions on the
day and establish if the conditions are reasonable for the shelter to be used.
